Happy Thanksgiving Dinner Options

Why spend your Thanksgiving Day in the kitchen when you can spend it in Morro Bay? This year, spend your turkey-day on the waterfront and enjoy a homestyle meal from one of our best local restaurants. All of these offers take place on Thursday, November 23th, 2017. Pick out your family’s next Thanksgiving dinner with the list below:

Waterfront Views:

• Blue Sky Bistro:
Nestled in the heart of the waterfront shopping is Blue Sky Bistro. Named appropriately, this quaint café has outdoor and indoor seating with picturesque views of the bay and the historic Morro Rock. Blue Sky will be serving your choice of ham, turkey or vegetable dishes this Thanksgiving. Special dishes for children ages 12 and under. They will be open all day from 8am-7pm. • Inn at Morro Bay:
Come check out the Inn’s beautiful restaurant and lounge this Thanksgiving. The new dining room has large glass windows that overlook the scenic bay, sandspit and picturesque fishing boats. Guests have the option of pear thyme brined turkey or honey-glazed ham. The 4-course meal is priced at $42 per person, and children 10 and under are $15 per person. • Windows on the Water:
Enjoy an elegant evening overlooking the bay at Windows on the Water. They will be serving Executive Chef Neil Smith's wonderful menu of traditional and local favorites, which includes braised Diestel range-grown turkey, double R Ranch prime rib and pumpkin seed-crusted local halibut. Meals are served alongside a first course and dessert. Adults are $49 per person, and children 12 and under are $24 per person. Dinner is served from 1pm-7:30pm. Historic Uptown:

• Dorn’s Original Breakers Cafe:
Dorn’s is a family-owned restaurant popular for its location between uptown shopping and the waterfront. This Thanksgiving, they will be open from noon to 3pm, serving a Thanksgiving feast. Come enjoy all your traditional favorites – hot turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh stuffing as well as other specialty entrées to be determined. • Kitty’s Kitchen:
One of our locals’ favorite spots, Kitty’s Kitchen is an all-day breakfast café known for its homemade dishes and classic diner ambiance. On Thanksgiving Day, Kitty’s changes its traditional menu to serving a traditional Thanksgiving feast. Come enjoy fresh-baked turkey, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade stuffing and delicious pie for dessert. Price is TBD. They will be open from 6am-9pm on Thanksgiving Day. • Grandma's Yogurt

Our delicious frozen yogurt shop is now serving special Pumpkin Pie Waffles through Thanksgiving. Cooked with pumpkin pie filling, the waffles are topped with: walnuts, honey-almond granola, sweet whipped cream, a drizzle of marshmallow cream, hot caramel, and a dash of cinnamon. Waffles come with a cup of frozen yogurt and a coffee or hot chocolate.
