“Great stop near Big Sur ” 5 of 5 Stars Review
We stayed here overnight after driving down the coastal big sur highway on the way from San Fran to LA. The rooms were clean, staff were friendly and the location is right on the water close to restaurants, shops, cafés etc. They even have window cleaning equipment in the car park to remove those bugs collected from your drive. Beds are huge and comfortable too. Would love it if everywhere we had stayed on this trip was as great as this place. Breakfast is mainly USA type. ie cakes, waffles, sweets, although there is yoghurts and muesli, porridge. Would recommend embarcuardo inn to everyone.

“Cannot beat this place!” 5 of 5 Stars
My wife and I took a reprieve from our own Mom+Pop business located in Florida. Her work sent her to LA for a week so we decided to add an extra week on the front of her work week, fly to San Francisco and spend a few days in the Bay area. After that stay, the plan was to drive the PCH and see Hearst Castle. Our end point for the day, we decided, would be Morro Bay. The only concern was where to stay? After going to TripAdvisor and reading reviews we decided upon Embarcadero Inn.
We arrived, tired and hungry. We were greeted by the young receptionist in a very warm and welcoming manner. We were given a room right next to the breakfast area that was HUGE!!! In addition to that, it was extremely clean and very well kept. Everything was excellent. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and impeccably clean!! (Did I say that already? LOL) A slider opened to a nice little balcony, porch area with chairs that faced Morro Bay proper. The view of the "Rock" was prominent! We had dinner at a wonderful local restaurant and headed back for a well needed and well deserved rest after a very long day.
Our only regret, not being able to stay a few more days.
A few points that also make this jewel of a hotel an excellent choice.
It was quite at night. We slept with the slider wide open, and the tranquil sounds of a quintessential seaside fishing town could be heard all night long; the 20 second interval of the seabuoy whistle sounding off way off in the distance, the occasional caw of the seagull and rattling of sailboat rigging as the wind sails through their lanyards. (Can you tell I am a retired career maritime sailor?)
The breakfast was very good for being a free breakfast, no complaints.
The owners were present onsite. This to my wife and I show care and concern for customer service and great customer service will have folks ALWAYS coming back for more.

“Tranquility and all the comforts of home” 5 of 5 Stars Review
As a long time 'returning' residents of the Central Coast, this was a test. We had, of course, long known about the Embarcadero Inn, it is a staple of Morro Bay, but we had never stayed there. We had no idea what to expect, as Morro Bay can be more fun, than classy. But this was a huge delight in so many ways, and we couldn't have been more pleased!
The view and location are spectacular, and as it is directly on the main drag, it could have been noisy. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quiet, the sound of the sea and the birds; and the outstanding placement for walking to EVERYTHING.
We have both traveled all over the world, and all of our needs and wishes were met. My Mother was thrilled to find a shower cap! She said that you just can't find those in hotels anymore! I was pleased with the balcony, security, free WIFI, friendly staff, nice (and free) breakfast room (with awesome views!); and great parking lot (with window washing perks!)! I truly could go on and on. Every time we turned around we were saying, 'look at this!'--we were loathe to go home! :)
Needless to say, we will be back, sooner possibly than we planned! And we have recommended the Embarcadero Inn to all of our friends and family. If you want peace, tranquility, to unwind, relax, and just...be. With EVERYTHING at your fingertips, you have found your Xanadu.
